Maybe cause this version of Rogue is fun, when the other version of Rogue that everyone seems to like so much is just emo and confusing to the point where it's almost borderline bad writing
Though, that's just X-Men Evolution. People seem to really eat up X-Men Evolution, they seem to forget it's really not that well written. It's not terrible, but it does bug me when someone says "It's so perfectly written.
