Excellent! Sabina
I was wondering when you were going to put your fab textures into a landscape, have seen hintsΒ in other works this year.
Β Very good perspective created with the tones and shadows.
Β I don't see it needs more detail, let the viewers imagination do that, its an enchanting forest.
Reminded me of this songΒ

this ink-watercolor type of work seems easier for me.. and even if i enjoy it very much I don't use it a lot.
It's mostly because I want to get better at what i'm bad at right now, and that would be line-art and hatching, cross-hatching .. stuff like that. This type of work makes me think a lot about values though, so it's not 100% comfort zone xD
Thank you so much for the comment , it's so great to hear you've been paying attention to my works

Well you are certainlyΒ improving your craft as I see it, in both traditional line drawing/shading and in an your textural effects, add to this yourΒ interesting psyche and as you see I'm a fan Β

Hmm! I too take pauses , I wonder aboutΒ those times whenΒ I'm distracted or creatively blocked somehow, after all I get such a buzz when feeling inspired.
I suppose one can not wish for or expect to be in the zone all the time, the creative waters flow as a trickle or a torrent, such is our nature.
Its the same with inspiration one can find it in a grain of sand or a shinning star.
Β SendΒ a note if you want to call round to mine for virtualΒ tea and cakeΒ Β

That's the spirit;Β practice makes perfect , forget the sort of guilt though, your not in any trial , even God had a day off .
Your kind words pick me up too, It's a balancing act finding peace to create andΒ good company for peace of mindΒ Β

...very good...and remember, the addition of nymphs/fauns etc
will definitely be inspirational... there's plenty of templates
around, for prompts, if you want... feel free to appropriate
the few I have in my works...I really should take my own advice,
since Claire has been suggesting that I do more fauns/satyrs for some time....

I treated it like watercolor, went from lightest to darkest values and then i added more white ink (which is more like acrylic actually and covers up the black but also mixes with it ) and tried to add more depth on top and bottom this way

Ooh, I see! I never used ink before (or watercolor for that matter), so I'm still just playing around xD

I got this school grade bottle of ink and use that and 2-3 brushes . It is harder to get used to always setting up the table , getting water, having a piece of paper cloth around.. but it's an easy medium, i think you would like it !

Looks like whoever doesnβt live in the abandoned house went for a stroll in the wild woods. Another excellent work, Sabina, with a touch of mystery and suspense to it.
