Long time no see
I did this drawing of Jae, this is my first time trying this kind of portraits, I tried before but I sucked XD I think this time turned out better, but I will improve as I practice.... ahh! so many beautiful peolple I want to draw!

draw what you see and not what your brain tells it is

jeje its just that sometimes you may have an idea of how certain thing looks(let´s say the eye, just and example) but it doesn´t mean that "the eye" looks that way in the picture/person you want to draw, the advice is more like a perspective thing, to draw how it looks no matter how weird you think it looks. another way to say the same thing is : think that you´re drawing lines instead of objets.
Anyway your drawing of Jae is pretty good for a first try ; )
most of people start drawing a frontal perspective before another angle. So keep drawing, you have great skills ^^
