Thi is the story of Lady Godiva. She didn't like how her husband taxed the town's people and begged him to lower the taxes. He said he would if she road through town naked. She told all the townspeople to stay inside and she road through town with only her long hair covering her. According to some tales one man, Tom spied on her, hence where "peeping Tom" comes from.

In my artwork, I have a hand which can stand for the Peeping Tom or wrong doings contrasted with a Romanesque style Mary statue. I tried to use red and green to draw the viewer's attention to the outside. I am pretty happy with how this turned out. I was getting tied for working with pen and ink.
