Description Yami and Ryoko:

This is page one of our Gaasaku doujinshi, Blossom of a Desert Cactus. I have heard that cacti are only really in the Americas but then again I don't think there are deserts in Japan. The title is symbolic! The story is based on Yami's fanfic: [link]

I used Manga Studios on this instead of Comic Works. Manga Studios took a lot longer to tone and it didn't have my favorite shiny bubble effect! >.< Though it has way more tones and effects then Comic Works. Maybe if Manga Studios came with a instruction manual it wouldn't be so hard to figure out... I also like how the tones resized so nicley from manga Studios!

This is kinda like the title page thing. Cacti are evil to tone! I decided less was better on it. I think Sakura came out cute and I love Gaara's hand I drew!

The tones do look a lot smoother on this pic than on some of your others. But it is a bummer that they don't have the tones you like most. >_< There might be a way to import the tone from Comicworks to Manga Studio...

Gaara and Sakura look really nice. The nice toning really helps Gaara...I love how his hair looks. But he looks nice overall. Sakura looks really pretty...The profile contour shape of her face is really well done, and the toned lips were a nice touch done well.

...I think you might wanna work a little more on drawing cacti, though. ; The parts with the blossoms or budding blossoms look alright, but the bigger shapes could use some work. Also, the...spiny things (there's a word for them, I think, I just can't remember) might could be done a little better.

Cacti are hard and ugly to draw! >.< *it's okay ugly cactus drawing. there there.* I even looked at a picture.... at least the cactus part is symbolic so i won't have to draw it much again.

Yes, I liked how the tones came out on Sakura's lips.

Very nice cactus by the way. It actually looks real! Ha, I tried to draw a cactus once... it ended up looking like one of those cartoon cacti that almost look like forks.

I don't write a script or story format. We call it a scribble draft. We layout out pages in panels and add the words and a scribbly image of what is going on. In the doujinshi we are taking scenes or thoughts that were important and animating them. But then you can be free to add things and delete things.
