Description The American Kestrel

Many of you might recognize this bird immediately (well the male of species at least) because it has been used as an image on stamps for a while now. It is the smallest and most common type of falcon in North America, and one of my personal favorites.

I've done photography in various forms and styles over the years and never achieved a decent level of quality that I was happy with regarding to wildlife pictures so you have well and truly amazed me on this beautiful photo. I love the colours on the birds plumage that you've captured and its of a bird of prey not often seen in photos so it's a nice thing to view and appreciate. What other animals do you study via your photography? I would certainly love to see more of your wildlife photos, good stuff, warm respect and kind regards Steve Young.

Thank you very much for the critique! For this photo in particular I had to try a bunch of different angles before I was finally pleased with the lighting. Thankfully she wasn't too fussy and stayed in one place which led to this nice photo. You can see feather details and the color looks good

I do pretty much any kind of nature photography, though I started in flowers and will always go back to it. For animals, I'll take pictures of anything. I really like butterflies and dragonflies though.

I love photography and hope to continue it for years to come so no worries about more coming! Just need to make time whenever I can. Thanks again and have a good day~
