Description
When local Chicago fire fighter, Hope Alvarez, is critically impaired in a collapsing building, only an emergency heart transplant can save her life. However unbeknownst to her, the only matching donor came from a mysterious John Doe who had arrived earlier that day. The procedure was a success and, strangely after a few short months was able to return to work once again. Something felt different inside her, she felt faster,stronger, more aware of being alive that she ever had before.

It wasn't shortly after that all became clear. One fateful night, while at home a strange sensation began to overtake her. This sensation began to accumulate in her chest and it wasn't before long that the sensation became pain. Her chest began to glow with a white hot hue as a strange otherworldy shape emerged in front of her. For you see the John Doe was in fact an alien in disguise, lost on Earth looking for a strong host to protect it. The alien saw the bravery and courage within Hope and choose her to protect it, knowing that she was unafraid of its natural enemy, fire.

One could not survive without the other; one without a heart to beat, one without protection and a friend to protect it. And so a truce was made, both would occupy Hope's body, utilising both of their strengths in order to both help a lost soul find itself and dead woman to find a new life.
