And here it is, a map of the world in 2035!

While the Middle East was absolutely devastated before, during and immediately after the war, by 2035 things are looking up. Turkey, largely untouched by the chaos, replaced the United States as the primary investor in the area and helped rebuild the war-torn Middle East. Turkey successfully resisted Russian influence and became its own great power in the area, although Russian influence in the UN has prevented it from becoming a UNSC member.

Israel was the target of several nuclear missiles during the war, but enough of its population survived to dominate disputed areas. Being used to living in constant danger allowed the Israelis (and their Arab rivals) to survive in the post-war wasteland better than Americans and Chinese in similar situations. Much of the Arab population in the disputed areas fled them for Saudi Arabia and more stable states; it was no longer worth fighting over the Gaza Strip, West Bank and Golan Heights after they were irradiated. Israel claimed the Sinai Peninsula after the war from Egypt; the Arab Republic claimed the territory for years until 2020 when they conceded the area to Israel in exchange for complete rights over and Israeli aid in rebuilding the Suez Canal.

Iran's Islamic government was toppled by the pre-war United States and the country entered a brief civil war after the Americans left to defend their country. Arab Spring-inspired democrats emerged victorious after the war and have become active participants in rebuilding Pakistan.

Pakistan suffered at the hands of Indian nuclear weapons and what was left of the government surrendered unconditionally to their old rival. Central authority in the country dissolved almost completely and a UN effort led by India, Iran and Russia to restore order has been at work for nearly a decade. Terrorist groups such as the Taliban and Al Qaeda are still operational, regularly armed with Chinese or Coalition weapons that circulate around the black market. Al Qaeda's leader, Osama bin Laden, is still at large, despite rumors of his being captured by a fanatically Islamophobic Coalition kill team shortly before the portals closed for good.

Iraq and Afghanistan, under American occupation since the beginning of the 21st century, also experienced civil strife. While Iraq was rebuilt with Turkish assistance, the Kurdish section managed to wrest itself free and has become a Russian client state. Kurdistan disputes have been the pivot of Russo-Turkish rivalry in the Middle East.

The Russians are once again in Afghanistan, this time to restore order for the UN. Anti-Russian sentiment is still high in the area, and the Russians have found themselves being "forced" to use brutal measures to protect their soldiers.

Central Asia was "liberated" by the Russians from "pro-Chinese" leaders during the war. They have since been reintegrated into the new Russia.

Although Africa was largely untouched by the Coalition's armies, the conflicts on the continent escalated as the great powers were distracted and advanced weapons poured into the continent. After the war, South Africa has become a UNSC member and a great power, helping Africa rebuild. The South Africans have greatly increased the power of the African Union, led UN-backed peacekeeping missions and helped the creation of the East African Union.

South Africa's (and Brazil's) membership in the UNSC has been cited by the Russians and Indians as necessary as they sent several divisions into Europe (and America, respectively), the two "have-not" continents need their champions and replacements for France and Britain are sorely needed. This argument succeeded because of Russian and Indian power after the war, but other contributors like Australia have complained that the two states only got membership by being part of BRICS before the war.

The Arab Republic is the most powerful state in North Africa, an Arab Spring state covering Tunisia, Libya, Egypt and Sudan. Tunisia's government was overthrown before Coalition intervention, while Libya's and Egypt's were aided by the Coalition in their attempt to destabilize the world before the invasion proper.

Sudan received Coalition arms and was prompted by their benefactors to prevent the secession of South Sudan. The Sudanese managed to defeat South Sudan but were later defeated by a UN force led by South Africa after WWIII. South Sudan and Darfur have become independent South African allies after Sudan's defeat, but Coalition weapons still circulate around the continent and have ended up in the hands of pirates and rebel organizations.

Somalia and Western Sahara have been occupied by the UN, after a short war in Western Sahara in 2025 and a massive increase in fighting in Somalia after WWIII. A referendum is to be held in Western Sahara in 2036 while Somalia is slowly being built up by the UN.

South America has been uniting under an EU-modeled South American Union led by Brazil. While the SAU still has less power than the pre-war EU, there is work on a continental currency and citizens of any South American country can enter any other South American country freely for three months. Brazil and the SAU have adopted some of the leftist policies and rhetoric of Hugo Chávez, the pre-war president of Venezuela, taking advantage of America's weakened position. Talk of South America being the more powerful of the two American continents becomes more and more common, especially as the Americans don't look like they will ever regain their former power.

The native France and Britain still exist as rump governments in exile in French Guiana and the Falklands. Both have been offered membership into the SAU, as they are now effectively South American states, but both have refused. The French have become close allies of Brazil, while the British have reconciled with the Argentines over the Falklands Islands dispute by ceding South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands and their Antarctic possessions to the Argentines.

Australia is a rising power in Oceania, replacing America as a "defender of the Pacific" and is now the most powerful state in the Anglosphere. Australia and New Zealand received a lot of American refugees during and after the war, resulting in a significant American minority existing in both countries. Tensions between the immigrants and the native population have decreased over the years.
