Why these four characters?
-Dixie Kong: She starred in 3 plattform games and saved Donkey Kong twice, those 2 facts make think she deserved a spot in the important female videogame characters. Her normal attack could be with her ponytail and even make a combo with her fist and feet (kind like Marth and Roy's combo attack in Melee), use her bubble gum to make her enemies dizzy. Use her helicopter move to fly (or at least plan through the air). And her final smash could be using her electric guitar and made all her enemies fly through the screen (I though of this as a more effective and extreme version of Donkey Kong's final smash in brawl)
-Paper Mario: Dr. Mario was a clone of Mario, but Paper Mario can actually be very different. First of all, his attack pressing B would be hitting with his hammer which you could charge (he does that in the n64 and gc releases) like Donkey Kong's punch or Samus' Beam. His jumping could be charged by turning like an accordeon and later jump really high (an ability taken from his second game), use his hammer like a baseball bat or turn himself into a paper plane and his final smash could be a meteor shower courtesy of the seven star spirits. Like Mr. Game and Watch he would also look 2d and the same thing would happen to Kirby if he absorbs Paper Mario and when he fall would look like paper in the air.
-Simon Belmont: He is one the most iconic Castlevania characters, and him appearing can please the hardcore gamers of the NES era. He could use many of the secondary items of the games like the cross, holy water, etc. the only flaw he may have is that he wouldn't have a big jump unless you use Ritcher's backflip. His final smash could he the attack of throwing crosses everywhere which of course would damage a lot his enemies
-Shovel Knight: His game was released in 2014 by Yatch Studios and it was really good, I heard his creators actually want him to appear in Smash too. his movements would be a bit similar to Link, but with a Shovel of course. instead of using bombs or arrows you could use fire orbs, anvill, the rays from his shovel, or his charge attack.
