This picture is belong to Fadalgia card game.Recently I've design characters for new clan "The Idols"
Ural Olm, the keyboardist of the bands.
His concept is owl. I maybe specialist on bird-base design but Ural is quite different. Make him alone look like "a bird" is easy, but to tell the audience that he's "an owl", together with his keyboard design in sci-fi looks.
Gosh it very hard. So I try the element of owl's face and wing on the keyboard design. The result is this picture.

In my opinion, I think there are better ways to tell the audience that this person is an owl
rather than drawing an owl itself into the painting. I think you force the audience
to think that this is an owl instead of telling them.
Also, the owl's face is too stand out to the point that it steals the point of interest
from the character.
