Description “Put 'em up, put 'em up! Which one of you first? I'll fight you both together if you want. I’ll fight you with one paw tied behind my back. I’ll fight you standing on one foot. I’ll fight you with my eyes closed...oh, pullin’ an axe on me, eh? Sneaking up on me, eh?” ***rrrr.... ruff!***

-Cowardly Lion, Wizard of Oz (1939)

Dandelions are definitely survivors and fighters. Not only do they reproduce easily and have lots of offspring, they can grow anywhere where there is a little bit of dirt (such as crack in the sidewalk). And if you try to get rid of it by pulling on the stem and leaves, new dandelions will regrow if the taproot remains in the soil (like a hydra sprouting two heads every time one head gets cuts off).

And even though Dandelions do not have a Victorian flower symbolism, the plant does have some symbolism:

Healing from emotional pain and physical injury alike
Intelligence, especially in an emotional and spiritual sense
The warmth and power of the rising sun
Surviving through all challenges and difficulties
Long lasting happiness and youthful joy
Getting your wish fulfilled
