Description Redid an old painting of mine. Spent way too long procrastinating on this, I started it months ago and let it sit unworked on for a long time.

Hey, there! I'm from
First of all, I want to say that this is a very neat tribute to Don Quixote! I see a consistent and authentic painting style while using the right techniques for each surface like grass/wheat and windmill.
You also give a lot of depth to the overall look with your soft and very well done shadings aswell as the paler mountains in the background. I´m most impressed by the amazing perspective skills you show with the windmull and your painting style is just amazing!
I really could imagine this in a children book or book cover tbh. *-*
I also love how you drew Don Quixote itself and the horse. At least to me tiny figures are really challenging but you mastered itlike a pro. He also looks really cute btw. X3
The only thing that I don´t understand is the grey thing on the left of the windmill. Is it a stone? Maybe it´s just me who is kinda blind. x) The stone way looks a bit flat compared to the rest which is really well shaded and detailed.
Maybe soft light effects would give them some depth?

Aynways, this is nearly perfect and I´d give you 10/10!

Hey thanks!

Yeah, looking at it again, the rocks next to the windmill aren't well refined. Some stronger shadows separating them from each other and maybe some rockier texturing would help to fix that.
Thanks for the compliments though!

Hellooo~
I'm from

Such beautiful scenery art  you have here! The colors and compositions are good looking on the thumbnail, made me curious to click this artwork of your on the gallery.
The warm colors give vibe of warm, calm, and enjoyable atmosphere on the afternoon. i really love the combination between shades of orange and green. It seems not a windy day since there are no sign of flying leaves or dancing grass.

I like how the mountains, the pointing knight, and the road are all giving line direction to that windmill as focus point.

That tiny knight, i thought it's a huge round belly, but it's the shield? It seems he/she wants to charge the windmill so bad. The first time i saw him, i thought it's a kid playing with horse pretending to be knight. Maybe for playing , because the funny expression he has and the wooden stick~

Just suggestion to push the depth more, how about giving silhouette of wheat grass on the edge of this painting? Not too big or too small of course.
Also maybe adding warm highlight on the building for dramatic effect of the late afternoon sun would be great ^^
The rock tiles for the faraway road should be have smaller rocks than the road on the knight's tiles.

Overall, this is a wonderful painting! The composition is the best part of this one. Keep improving!

Thanks for taking the time to comment, I appreciate it!

Yeah, I realize that the shield blends into his body and looks a bit confusing. I think perhaps choosing a slightly different hue for the shield might have been a good idea, or at least putting some rust on it near the top to visually separate it from him more.
Not sure what you mean with the wheat grass silhouette. I think I kinda get it, but which edge of the painting?
I suppose I could up the drama with stronger lighting, fair critique.
And yeah, looking back at it now I realize the cobblestones in the green grass area are too big. Thanks for bringing that up.

Anyways, thanks for your critique!

I don't have any problems with this painting.
The colors are nice, so is the shading.
And I can tell the story just by looking at it.
With out even reading the book.

Haha I remember reading one of the Don Quixote books in Spanish class. Anyway, this is an amazing painting- the contrast and colors really stand out and give the piece a really laid-back yet epic atmosphere.
Excellent job!
