I like the edges of this. It has a sharpness to it that is tempered by the softness of the breath. And yes, being a horse person in a cold climate, they really do look amazingly magical doing this.

Beautiful words, athenarules. Edges can make or break a painting, there has to be a balance to create eye movement and a pulse to the work. Thank you for your comment.

I felt the same way before I started my horse series. But after painting a few of them, I fell in love with the power and energy of these animals... even when they are standing still!
