Or more traditionally, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Now that that’s out of the way…

This gigantic piece of nonsense is an extremely belated Christmas gift for my father, . And before anyone reminds me that Christmas Day isn’t until tomorrow you need to know two things. One; us Swedes, apparently being naturally impatient people (at least during the winter) celebrate on Christmas Eve, and two; this was supposed to be finished last year.

In my defence, it was almost finished, at least as I wanted it then. It was in grey-scale back then, with the original hand drawn versions of all the characters, only lacking the trio on the left. They, on the other hand, just would not cooperate! Took forever, they did. And then I had the amazing idea that, since I now had an entire year, I should colour! I almost wish I hadn’t…

Anyway, let’s move on to the picture, which I realize might need some (a lot of) explaining.
has made some brilliant crossover comics centred on Shego and Drakken so I thought I’d try something similar.

Shego and Drakken were, of course, a given so here they are in all their disharmonious glory. I don’t really remember who came into existence next (there was a lot of back and forth going on) but it might well have been the Joker, at the moment regarding a rather oddly shaped present addressed to him from his loyal Harley Quinn. Any guesses as to its contents?

Harley, meanwhile, is getting some common knowledge from Poison Ivy. Ivy’s presence might also prove beneficial for Harley once the Joker opens his gift (provided I have read the text and/or subtext adequately).

Ivy and Harley also dragged their mutual friend and fellow (semi) villainess Catwoman along. She… got a bit distracted. Which might prove dangerous.

Also present are the big, blue, bad, Hades, Lord of the Underworld, and his reluctant sidekick, Megara. None too keen on the evil party, either, is Meg. Well, she’s not alone, at least.

Last, but not least, we have another blue villain with a killer smile; Grimmjow Jaegerjaques. Being from the anime/manga Bleach, he’s found some fellow eastern characters to converse with, namely Lust and Gluttony from Fullmetal Alchemist. Gluttony is getting a bit peckish, though…

The speech bubbles aren’t exactly aesthetically pleasing but at least the get the job done (I hope) and I hope I never have to mate this much line art again. I usually avoid it like the plague!
