Maybe when my life isn't bogging me down with homework I can try this I really want to, but I dunno if I've got the patience, haha.

Thanks for making this!

Rrkra In reply to LunarDragoness [2015-04-21 15:15:16 +0000 UTC]

Good luck if you try (and it doesn't have to be made in one go)

LunarDragoness In reply to Rrkra [2015-04-21 23:31:46 +0000 UTC]

I probably couldn't do it in one go if somebody paid me...haha XD
Thanks! If I ever do I'll definitely show you (if it doesn't look like a pile of beads)!

Rrkra In reply to LunarDragoness [2015-04-22 03:20:26 +0000 UTC]

Lol but what if it looks like a beautiful pile of beads

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

LunarDragoness In reply to Rrkra [2015-04-22 03:31:14 +0000 UTC]

Weeell, then I'll relabel it as a melting dragon X3 Or something. Ooh I know! I'll put one of my sculptures on it so the bead pile is a dragon's hoard

Thank you for this amazing tutorial! Finally, I was able to make this dragon! Although I miscalculated the bead sizes, so it looks a bit ridiculous

Rrkra In reply to Grifoshka [2015-01-19 00:32:43 +0000 UTC]

The first one I made looked weird too XD It's really much easier the second time, when you already know what you are doing.
(And I'm sure it looks adorable anyway )

Grifoshka In reply to Rrkra [2015-01-20 23:54:58 +0000 UTC]

My brother described it as "part snake, part fish, part rooster", so I guess it's adorable in its own way
I'm going to make a better one as soon as I get the beads. Thanks again for sharing the making process, it was my beading dream to make one of these beauties.

Absolutely amazing work.  How big is this piece approximately?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Rrkra In reply to FightingDarkness [2014-11-24 21:22:27 +0000 UTC]

It's around 7 cm high. Depends on the beads used

Thank you, so much, for sharing your know how.  I've always wanted to make a little dragon for each of my boys (one that they'll like!). Because of your generosity, I can now do so. I can't way to surprise them!  Thanks again.

sunnyblu3 [2014-04-02 20:12:30 +0000 UTC]

Ok question. When you start adding the beads for the head how do you get them to stay put? Every time I think I have it those little suckers go every way but the right way.

Rrkra In reply to sunnyblu3 [2014-04-03 00:36:02 +0000 UTC]

Hm... Which step exactly is that?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

sunnyblu3 In reply to Rrkra [2014-04-03 21:39:00 +0000 UTC]

It's the first few beads as soon as I start the head. What stitch am I suppose to be using on the head?

Oh.
It's a ndebele (herringbone) tube.

hi i am in the uk new to  beading  and having a lot of trouble getting the beads in the sizes you recommend

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Rrkra In reply to bluesue1 [2014-02-15 22:29:56 +0000 UTC]

It's more difficult to make without all the bead sizes

Try asking friends, around craft/hobby stores in your town, or find an internet store?

I live far from UK, so not really sure how common seed beads are there...

bluesue1 In reply to Rrkra [2014-02-16 01:04:05 +0000 UTC]

ok thank you for the reply i can get seed beads but no one seems  to know what size 8 15 and 11 are as i can only find mm  beads

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Rrkra In reply to bluesue1 [2014-02-16 17:17:12 +0000 UTC]

Not used to calling them by mm, but that's what Google found me:

Aught Size     MM Size       Beads per Inch

6/0            3.3                         10

8/0            2.5                         13

11/0          1.8                         20

15/0          1.3                         25

Delica        1.8                         20

Mulene In reply to bluesue1 [2014-04-05 22:45:54 +0000 UTC]

Try GJ Beads or Stitchncraft - you want to look for miyuki seed beads is size 15, 11 and 8 - stitchncraft have all of these. GJ has them too.

They have online stores (google) and physical stores too. Stitchncraft are amazing and based in Dorset. Great service and I've always had fast delivery from both them and GJ beads.
