I use him in tRPG game, where aren't any vampiric animals now, so he didn't know any, but if some of them appears, I want them to meet him.
But also he's kind of hermit.

Nope, he was born as a vampire and it's his magic. He wasn't infected and he's isn't dead in fact. Something like pseudo-vampire. Vampire in some things, wolf in others.
