You did an absolutely impressive job with this picture, both with how you drew up the character in focus, and how you complimented him with a tremendous city backdrop. I love both aspects of the picture, but I'm particularly drawn to the ambiance of the surroundings.

I can't say that it wouldn't look better with color, but it does stand on it's own two-feet without it.
