I'm trying to refrain myself from picspamming with like... half of this shoot since I love them so much. XD Anyway, here's the first of my Zuko pics from AB!Character: Zuko

Wow. Just wow. I know this was from a while ago, but I just had to comment to say I think this is one of the best cosplays I've seen hands down. The clothes, the weapons, the hair, the stare. Perfection.

What kind of material did you use for the costume? And do you hand stitch things, or use a machine? I'm curious, I don't really remember how to use one..

I got the fabric at a discount store, so I'm actually not quite sure what kind of fabric it is. Go with something that looks and feels right to you! Everything was done with a machine. Also, the swords were made out of wood.

The swords are made out of wood. The blade and the guard were made with a relatively thin piece of wood and the hilt was the same thin piece (x2) plus a rounded piece. To get them to be identical, after cutting out the base shape, I clamped them together and sanded them down. With regards to how they were put together, google-ing sword tutorials should give you the general idea.

The knots are literally just three knots. XD I think the bigger knot was a double knot. The belt snaps together at the back.
