TUMBLR // TWITTER // YOUTUBE // Touka.I've completed Madoka! Yes she is in the GODOKA outfit, but I could call her Queen Godoka, it'd sound dumb. Anyway, this is really pink, right? I really like how it came out. Like Sayaka and Homura I re-did the whole design of this piece. In all honesty I didn't really like the first design so I changed it lol. I hope you like her~

Though I'm not very familiar at all with Madoka or the anime she's from, I still think this looks fantastic. I find it creative how you drew her as the Queen in a deck of cards. The color scheme is really nice; the pink tones you used all go together very well and they give her a sense of cheerful sweetness and daintiness. You did the shiny parts of her hair really well, too, and I think you did a good job drawing her hands holding the staff. Part of the background does look a little rough, particularly the outlines near the top right corner, but that might have been because of how quickly you were working. But even so, I still think this is a great picture.

The included speedpaint for the drawing was really interesting to watch and I liked how you added more and more colors and shadowing til the picture had become a very well colored piece in the end. Speaking of the colors - I absolutely love the girly pink-colored style of Madoka and think you captured her very well. I like the shy look on her face and the sparkling in her eyes. I think you did a great job on the eyes in overall, since they are all glowing and very detailed.
I also liked that you changed the outlines color from black to violett, because it gives a softer touch to the whole picture and the white additional lines serve as nice highlights - It almost looks as if the digital drawing was turned into a watercolor picture because of your nice way to use colors. I also really like how the color of her skin blends into her faces.
What bugs me (a little bit) is the anatomy. Her head is really big and cute but when looking at her whole body, it seems a bit... out of place since her face and her neck are directly faced at the viewer which contradicts her overall pose a little bit.
I think it would look more natural if her head was a bit smaller and faced a little bit more to the side. When looking at it closer and focusing just on the parts of her body compared to each other (like comparing her legs to her head) it becomes a bit more obvious that the proportions are not really right. But nevertheless, I think you did a really really good job on the little details and how you shaped her body: her hands look really great and her legs are really well-shaped too. You sure got some experience with drawing cute girls.
One thing that is really a shame are the lines of the little wings - Why are they so jittery? The whole line-art is soo great and you were looking so carefully at every part of the picture and at different sizes of the brush, so I don't understand why the wings look so weird compared to the really awesome lineart of the rest of the picture.
(Ok, I only noticed this because I was looking at the picture really long and really close.)
All in all I think that you did a really, really good job on the Goddess Madoka card and I really love your way to color and the expression you gave her, d'aww! She is just adorable! Hope my comment was not too weird - this was the first time I tried to give constructive feedback and I hope it was somewhat helpful

Wow such a long comment, thanks for putting so much time into this!! Well I'm glad you like my use of colours and I'm so surprised that you think it looks like a water coloured painting, that means so much!! Not I review my work (again) I totally see what you mean with the anatomy, it is odd, I can see what you mean with the head, if it was 3/4 view it would make the painting more relaxed..Her legs are big, its probably why everything looks so out of proportion. If I rotated the head and made the legs smaller, I most likely could've saved the picture. Yes, the lineart is still a big problem for me, its hard deciding if I want it nice and smooth or in a texture way. I'm not sure what you mean with the wings but I will make sure I make my lines smoother and slower, no matter the texture. I tried my best and I am happy that it was helpful even if just a little bit.
I myself draw a lot with watercolors so I notice whenever I see similarities 
About the wings: Sorry, I think I couldn't make it clear. Sorry for the confusion. I mean the two little tranlutent wings. It kind of seems like the lineart is not smooth but jittered.
No problem at all for watching the speedpaint, it was really, really interesting!

The coloring is nicely done. I like the variety of milking pinks and the detail in her hair. She's nicely drawn too, decent anatomy, if a little disproportioned around the arms and hands. One arm seems longer than the other, be sure to measure the arms are the same length, and you might want to use hand references so the hands look more natural.
And as for critiquing, though it isn't that noticeable, some of the lines here and there are a bit messy, or they cross over each other. Just take the time to go in erase so the lining looks cleaner. Same thing with the background. I also noticed some shades of blue which I think are a nice touch, but maybe you could've added some more of the blue shade to provide more contrast, like in areas such as her neck, hair, or even her staff.
It's a lovely image overall, keep up the good work

Thanks for your lengthy comment! Yes I see I what you mean with the arms the do look a tiny bit detached and her left hand is slightly too big. And I'll definitely add more shading in with different colours, I think it looks best when its not just one colour! I can easily fix those, thanks for letting me know!!(´ᗢ｀) I'm also really glad you like it~
