A half-joking comment about a character realitically losing a leg when he died in our D&D game became canon for Torn.

The amorphous body of the lava ooze suddenly became naught but molten liquid again, and stray globs splattered this way and that as the lava fell back into the volcano. Torn saw the danger a moment too late, moved a fraction too slow...It was a miracle that he was able to keep his leg at all, but his body would not be so lucky when an infection began to spread. Luckily, it was not too late to save his life. Now he will need to adjust.
