Celestial Entity Physiology: The following are subsets of this power
Darkness Manipulation: User can create, shape and manipulate darkness and shadows . By itself, darkness is mostly used to cloud everything into total darkness, but by accessing a dimension of dark energy it can be channeled to a variety of effects, both as an absence of light and a solid substance: one can also control and manipulate the beings that exist there, create and dispel shields and areas of total darkness, create constructs and weapons, teleport one's self through massive distances via shadows, etc.
Night Empowerment: Users become stronger, faster, more durable, etc. during the night, possibly unlocking abilities related to the affinity and enhancing the existing powers. Some users may be able draw sustenance from the night or even slow or stop aging.
Night Vision: User has excellent night vision , the ability to see in low light conditions or even total darkness. Whether by biological or technological means, night vision is made possible by a combination of two approaches: sufficient spectral range, and sufficient intensity range.
Vacuum Adaption: User is able to survive and adapt to the vacuum or space unaided and are able to withstand atmospheres (heat intensity and any poisonous chemical elements), cosmic media (radiation), strange gravity (even sometimes that of a black hole), and lack of air.
Supernatural Regeneration: User can regenerate completely so long as they are not instantly killed by an attack (i.e. disintegration, incineration, one-hit kill). For some users, this involves that as long as the "core" is undamaged, they can regenerate. Because the cells and telomere lengths are constantly regenerating and rejuvenating, they do not age, recover any damaged body parts, and sustenance intake required is drastically reduced, to the point user is close to true immortality. Even complex parts such as damaged brain cells and nerves can be repaired, effectively keeping the mind intact and making decapitation more difficult as the user can simply reattach their heads to the neck, sealing the cut.
User are practically immune to drugs, disease, and all harmful foreign substances, and will be forever in their optimal health and physical prime. They are immune, or at least highly resistant, to telepathic attacks, since the regenerative power restores brain cells to its unaltered state, blocking one's mind from any attacks or invasive attempts.
Flight: The ability to fly.
Personality:
A caring person, Celeste will do anything and will not stop until those she cares for are safe. A very determined person, she isn't afraid to bend the rules where necessary. Quite Flirty, she is happy to show her feelings and generally this is how she shows affection. Celeste does allow her Maternal instincts kick in when around the younger heroes and villians, this has resulted in her sending each of the Robins home because they have come in a sniffle. She has a compulsion to prove herself, a well timed jab at her ego can either bring her down in a fight or ensure she wins it.
She doesn't have the best technological apititude, she accidentally almost deleted all of Batman's contingency plans when she used the Watchtower computer to look up catvideos. This not to say she isn't smart, she just prefers paper copies of things than tablets and such.
Background:
Celeste was originally born in France and dreamed of becoming a singer, she moved to America to do so. At the time she did not realise she was pregnant with her daughter, this did not stop her from achieving her dream of becoming a singer though and she tried her hardest to make sure she was there for her daughter.
However Celeste was caught in a scandal resulting in her losing everything and eventually her daughter, Nox, because she could longer financially support herself and her daughter. Celeste became desperate and was trying everything to get back her daughter when she was offered a chance to be in an experimental program from LexCorp, the program payed people to be part of it and she was additionally told by Lex Luthor that upon completion of the experiment that they would help her get her daughter back..
Celeste took part in the experiment and was subjected to a ritual that fused her with a sliver of a dark celestial beings essence, this in turn gave her a variety of the beings powers while she still retained her humanity. By the end of the experiment Celeste was the only successful survivour and was taken on as part of the companies "Hero Initiative" to enhance the companies image.
During her time at LexCorp Celeste Luthor held the promise of her daughters return over her head, continuing to use her in clandestine operations and as back up against the Justice League. Celeste tried to protest but was threatened with blackmail if she should leave This continued until Superman aided by Batman were able to convince Celeste that Lex was not going to get her daughter back for her, which Celeste had already begin to suspect but out of fear never brought up.
After helping Superman and Batman in their mission Celeste left LexCorp and willingly served her time for the crimes she had committed as part of LexCorp. After being released from prison Celeste tried to use the powers she had been given to help, and after some time she was recruited into the Justice League.
During her time in the Justice League Celeste reformed her image, and was even able to continue making music all the while searching for her daughter who by now would be at college age. What Celeste did not know that Batman had been searching for her daughter as well on her behalf, which surprised Celeste as they had not become as close as some of the other members, but she was still grateful beyond words.
Celeste was eventually reunited with her daughter, who looked like a dupilcate of Celeste before the transformation and was studying music at Gotham University.

Celeste's slightly altered background:
Celeste was originally born in France and dreamed of becoming a singer, she moved to America to do so. At the time she did not realise she was pregnant with her daughter, this did not stop her from achieving her dream of becoming a singer though and she tried her hardest to make sure she was there for her daughter.

During her time at LexCorp Celeste Luthor held the promise of her daughters return over her head, continuing to use her in clandestine operations and as back up against the Justice League. Celeste tried to protest but was threatened with blackmail if she should leave, however Celeste had had enough and left LexCorp. She was arrested and placed in Blackgate Prison for a time before being released on parole 5 years later for good behaviour.
After being released Celeste essentially went silent for a while, only turning up for her parole meetings when needed. She tried to find her daughter on her own and eventually found her, however the reception she received was not what she wished for. Her daughter Nox, who was now 9 years old, had been adopted by another family who did not want Celeste to see Nox, however before Celeste could turn to leave her daughter saw her and upon seeing her screamed because her Maman had become a monster that didn't want her, or that's what her new Mommy had told her.
In order to show that she was not a monster Celeste began to embark on a campaign to prove she was a good person.
Celeste in Batman vs Superman:
When Diana is looking at the LexCorp files unlocked by Bruce, Celeste's is in between The Flash's and Cyborg's with her symbol being a Deep Pink and Silver Crescent moon on a black background. Upon clicking on her file Diana is greeted with a video of Celeste speaking with Lex Luthor, who is conducting the experiment, she is then tied to a lab table and put in what looks to be a chamber of some kind.
As the fusing process goes on the room goes dark for a second before returning to the light, when the light does go back on Celeste is levitating above the fusing chamber, which is now destroyed, tendrils of darkness swirling around her as her sunkissed tan disolves into a moon grey, her long golden locks of hair have turned as black as the night sky and finally, her beautiful royal blue eyes have lost their colour completely.
The video then becomes a bit corrupted for a minute before it goes completely black, then unexpectedly the darkness disappears and Celeste is standing in the middle of a room with about 20 security guards on the floor unconcious around her. Then she knowingly looks at the camera, her expression is dark and filled with anger, in the background a reception with the LexCorp sign on it can be seen before Celeste releases a blast made of shadows at the camera destroying it.
