Ok so a bit of backstory for this my friend had this really cool idea to make the G3 pony Starcatcher part of a next gen AU and I personally loved her design and color pallet and thought I'd try it out for shiggles and she suggested a really interesting ship for the petitverse which was Starcatcher and Grogar and when I woke up this morning I had an idea for how they would be a couple and how this little cutie would come in so I hope you enjoy this cause I sure do X3

Dream Sequence is the son of Queen Starcatcher and King Grogar

Dream is a foal who from day one was curious of the world around him why were things the way they were?, what things meant, and other stuff that a foal his age would be curious about and loves to explore to find out the answers to his questions, he see's himself as a protector of his mother and plays that he is a brave warrior prince who is protecting his toy kingdom. He and his father would play when he had the time to and he enjoys every moment.

He's quiet but does enjoy reading with his father or having flying lessons with his mother, with him inheriting his mothers fluff it makes it very hard for his parents to resist cuddling their son, Starcatcher calls him, her little twinkling bell which causes the young prince to blush and go "moooooom!" but does enjoy cuddling into her own fluff when he's afraid or upset. He does not like thunder at all and the first place he'll go to when he hears thunder is right to his mother and cuddles up to her chest as his little hooves embrace her. She always pulls him close when it happens and drapes one of her wings around him.

For Dream this is like a security blanket feeling his mother's wing around his little body makes him feel safe, ever since he was born he was spoiled rotten by his parents but doesn't act entitled about it but can get huffy when he can't get a cookie before dinner but his dad always ends up sneaking one for him. Just like his mother he loves butterflies and likes to chase them around his mother's garden as well as when they land on him sometimes she would find him with several butterflies on him.

When Dream Sequence had turned five his father gave him a little collar with a tiny golden bell on it, since his father had a bell he thought it would be fitting if his own son had one, the young prince loved his bell and never takes it off besides when he needs to take a bath but many knows he's around when they can hear the little ringing of his bell.

Now the question I know your all going to ask "how did they meet?"

Starcatcher is the queen of an island kingdom on the outskirts of Equestria's borders called Butterfly Island, the kingdom got it's name for it's inhabitance of the most unique, rare, and beautiful butterflies. The ponies who live there see the butterfly as a sacred creature and many have gardens for their delicate neighbors as well as special events and holidays that are based around these colorful insects.

The real Grogar isn't dead but due to his massive amount of magic and his mastery of dark magic he had found a way to make himself immortal so he can finish what he was set out to do take revenge on the ponies and he had been planning this for years, he saw the island kingdom would be the perfect starting point for his conquest over the ponies and his motive was to make the ponies feel the pain he had felt all those years ago when they took away his most precious treasure and it was more important than his bell...the life of his beloved queen. Before he was given the title of King of Monsters he was a king of a small kingdom to which he ruled with his beloved queen.

Grogar and his queen loved each other dearly and were hardly ever seen apart but one day his world would shatter around him and rise to power a force that would go on in history, pony assassins had been sent by another kingdom and killed his wife the only creature who he ever truly loved he felt his world crumble and cease to exist a powerful rage filled him as well as a great heartache that would forever turn his heart into stone blinded by grief and rage he declared he would make the ponies feel the same pain he did and went on a rage induced tirade on the ponies but was driven away after the Gusty the Great managed to take his bell away but ever since he has biding his time to do to a full on revolt against the ponies from that day hardened his heart and he put walls up around it so he wouldn't be hurt again.

When he first came to Butterfly Island Starcatcher's forces did everything they could and even she tried to defend her ponies but he managed to take over the land and take thw queen as his personal prisoner she was imprisoned in a cage made from his magic but when he got to get a good look at his prized capture he see's her eyes, he felt his heart stop as he falters just a bit they were the same shade of blue as his beloved queen, he had to focus but as he spent the more time around her the more he starts to notice there's a lot of things she does that reminds him of his queen, Starcatcher could see something in his eyes whenever he looks at her something that resembles...pain, longing, someone who has put up a emotional wall to shield themselves maybe he wasn't truly evil.

She always had a certain gift that she can see into ponies through their eyes and she could see he was not as much as closed book as he claimed to be so for a while she tries to gain his trust cause she could see a hidden pain in his eyes and for a good while he denies it, tries to scare her into silence, tells her it's none of her concern or business and many other things but all he could see in this queen are constant memories he had buried for so long was this some way for fate to mess with him?, one night he heard singing it was sweet and angelic it reminded him of his queen.

He remembered how his wife loved music and she would sing to him it was the only thing that was ever able to calm him down it was like a trance had been placed over him and couldn't help but follow the sound he had to know where this beautiful voice was coming from when he got to the source it was Starcatcher, hearing her singing was one of the most beautiful sounds he had heard in such a long time, he remembered the songs his queen would sing to him, he hadn't realized he was crying until he noticed something hot and wet was coming down his face, Starcatcher happened to notice this and she asked him why he was crying.

How she spoke to him her voice was just as sweet and motherly as hers was and for the first time ever since she was killed he fell to his haunches and cried the tears he had been bottling up for so may years were finally pouring out and he sobbed hard as his body jerked from his sobs. The magic he had her in imprisoned in faded enough for her to escape but she actually went up to him and embraced him he tensed up and was about to blast her away with his magic but even how she hugged him reminded him of her, of course this confused him but also brought a strange sense of comfort he hadn't felt in such a long time he hadn't realized how much he really missed her oh how disappointed she would be of him of all the things he did.

He couldn't push her away, he instead sobbed into her chest years of pain, years of anger, the years he wasted alone and heart broken but this mare, this pony the creature who caused him to become this monster she was like an angel who came down to him was this a sign from her? He began to regret his actions heavily the black cloud that had swallowed his mind for years finally began to fade and the weight of his actions finally hitting him, she would be so disappointed in him, how could he have done so wrong by someone he loved so much but it was almost ironic how it was ponies that took his queens life, it was a pony who saved him from his own prison.

Grogar from that day was a changed ram thought it took a long time for the kingdom to fully trust him and even accept his apology but he was willing to put in the effort and after a while it does happen Grogar and Starcatcher become very close as the old ram found love once again and is finally happy again, they soon married and Grogar became the king of the island they ruled and it was some of the happiest times he had remembered, soon Starcatcher had found out she was pregnant Grogar was overjoyed he never had the chance to start a family before but now he was going to be a father the kingdom awaited eagerly for the new prince or princess.

When the day finally came Grogar waited for the news and when he was finally able to go see her, he found his queen on the bed in the medical wing of the palace she looked tired, her mane was messy, her face was beaded with sweat but she also looked so happy, she smiled at her beloved king and she lifted her wing to reveal the small hybrid curled up next to her, Grogar looked down in amazement at this little ball of fluff before him, his eyes filled with tears as a big smiled spread on his lips. He leaned his head down to the newborn and nuzzled the baby affectionately, the baby let out what sounded like a mix of a bleet and a whinny. When he asked if it was a prince or a princess.

Starcatcher smiled and said they had a precious little prince, Grogar smiled as he looked to his son pride and love beamed from him he told her if this was a dream then he didn't want to wake up and that gave Star an idea for a name for their son; Dream Sequence the old ram smiled and thought since he was such a unique and beautiful creature then a name like that would be perfect for their little prince. The kingdom rejoiced for the arrival of their new prince.
