I made this piece just after watching Naruto Shippuden 123, Wow... just wow. That was the best episode in a long time (All respect to the Kakashi Chronicles of course). I sketched up a quick draft which looked vaguely like this at first but ended up absolutely failing at the poses so I used the episode itself as my reference.

The Japanese symbol (Kanji) up the top right is Katsu. I'm not sure exactly what it means but Deidara says it to detonate his bombs... I mean Art! But anyone who doesn't know Deidara wouldn't look at this anyway right? I referenced Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja 4 for the symbol and tried to copy it as best I could

This was going to be a hand coloured piece as a cover for my next Art Journal but I put the piece of paper with half the lineart done on my bench which had a leak above it that I didn't notice. So I scanned it quickly and did a little maintenance. I'm glad I screwed up because I might not have bothered finishing this otherwise and it turned out well.

I know I forgot Tobi but he didn't fit the mood despite his awe-inspiring digging ability.
