This is my latest drawing - one of my dad, Iain.Time: 3 hours
Tools: An HB, a 2B, and a 4B pencil, cotton wool and a rubber.

I love the details in this; pencil and realism is hard to put together and to make it look nice.
If I were you, I would push the shadows in the face just a bit more for some contrast. I guess it depends on the lighting, though.

Ah, yeah. Lighting can be really different when flash is used. I know nothing about photography, though.

You have a good eye for detail. I have been practicing portrait drawing myself recently, and I think you have a reason to be proud of this one. The hair could use a little touching up, but hell, hair is damn difficult to draw. Keep up the good work!

You really have crazy skills with pencils! I love the shading and the way the jacket contrasts against the bright surroundings. The eyes are my favorite, they look so real!
