Description

There was a change in the air, the wind had shifted in from the east and while I couldn’t feel it against my titanium skin, it made a meditative resh through the underbrush, the leaves, vines, like the gentle breath of a wave pulling back surf from a sandy shore.
The clearing ahead wasn’t without its scenery, and while I had been focused on the silent speak between me and the rest of Crowbar, the sudden change in mood brought me back to Requiem’s eco system; lush greens, bioluminescent creepers hiding away their light in the morning pillar of light blessing a patch of ground through the break in the canopy, all masked softly by a humid screen of fog.

Normally something like something like this, the right-angled climate pattern or transcendence to an environment that contrasted the previous one, would remind me of the time in Mombasa when I couldn’t tell that it was raining because of my active VISR. My low-light setting had saturated the city with a soft filter of lime-green and gray, made shadows nearly invisible to a glance, raindrops were little more than specs of dust. Here, however I felt a different kind of Deja Vu considering my time on Installation 00, and my…familiarity with its design.
