Story: Kai along with his sister Rose were born into a coastal small herd of horses near the beach. For awhile life was good and fun. Kai and his sister had all the fun they could imagine and adored their loving parents... However, while they were still young, disaster struck... There was a large storm that hit that night causing their homeland to flood as the tidal waves washed everything away... killed their herd... And took away their parents.... Kai and Rose were the only survivors....

Kai and Rose were devastated... Without their herd and parents... What were they to do? Kai felt a new responsibility of protecting the only one he had left... Rose. He vowed to protect her forever refusing to lose someone else close to him ever again. Kai took Rose and together they travelled away from their homeland in search of a new herd. Upon their search they successfully found what they were looking for. The herd they came across gladly took the two in and cared for them. However, as Kai and Rose grew up there, Kai grew tired of living a simplistic lifestyle of a normal horse herd member... He longed for adventure. And, he never really stopped believing that his parents were still alive...

One night, Rose spotted Kai sneaking out of herd grounds one night. Startled she ran to him and stopped him, her eyes wide with fear. "B-Big brother?? Where are you going so late? Your heading off herd grounds..." Rose mumbled quietly. Kai sighed heavily looking away from his younger sister. "Rose... I have to leave... I don't belong here. I need to go out there and see what the world has to offer me..." He answered still keeping a diverted gaze. But Rose knew their was something more to what he was saying. "...This... This is about mom and dad... Isn't it?" She asked, Kai's face went pale as he didn't respond. "Then take me with you Big brother!! I want to stay by your side please don't-" But Kai caught her off with a hug. "Rose... I didn't ask you to come with me because its not safe... I want you to stay here. I can't take you with me because I'd be worrying about you every five minutes... Don't worry Rose... I'll find them. And then I'll be back before you know it." He said to her with a reassuring smile. Rose looked over him teary eyed by nodded slowly. "Big brother... I love you." She said quietly to him through her sobbing. Kai smiled and nuzzled her tears away. "I love you too. Be safe Rose..." He said to her before galloping off into the night, to find his adventure... And his parents.
