Notes: Leshy is the least studied sentient being of Oominor due to its extremely dangerous essence. Adult Leshy is a massive stationary angiosperm plant with highly evolved sepal, ovary, and petal merged into a rapacious maw with string-like stamen appendages dangling out of it. The stamens are covered by sticky droplet-like warts to prey on animals that bond with their carcass. When the animal is entangled in a snare, the Leshy pulls it through poniard leaves that tear apart the prey and afterward lick with the stamen the pieces of the animal impaled on their "weapons" and pulling further to mouth.
The Leshy grows far from other representatives of its species in the backwoods. For some reason, the Leshy prefer to hunt on sentient beings, luring them by mimicking the cry of a child lost in the forest. Some claim that they witnessed how Leshy even imitates the voices of a whole group of tourists trying to get out of the woods baiting caring people. If the unlucky mushroom picker or a hunter comes across a Leshy, then after devouring him a monster will imitate his prey's habits (mentioning the name of a pet, how many kids are in his family, etc.) calling friends and family for help in order to feed on them too. This factor makes a search for real lost people a complicated task in Oominor.
The lifecycle of the Leshy starts when a seed falls on the ground. The embryo of a Leshy grows under tons of warm soil for about three years. Then embryo grows into a mobile sprout that can freely walk on the land. They have a similar diet as their adult counterparts but mostly feed on small critters like insects. When the sprouts reach puberty, the female and male sprouts amalgamate and fix on specific places reaching the period of an adult plant at the age of 50 years.
