Sixth piece of my watercolor series themed balloons, hot air balloons, and Chinese lanterns. I don't know why, but blues are very hard for me to paint with watercolors, and scanners have trouble picking up blue greens

The balloon itself is what makes the piece, for me; there's a fantastic amount of detail in so few brush strokes; and it contrasts well with the (appropriately) sketchy backdrop.

Thank you. I remember this being my favorite balloon to render, so that probably contributes to it I'm really glad you find the limited brush strokes and sketchyness successful.

Oh, one my daddy told me that the scanner has problems with blue because it's light is blue. :/

And that makes a lot of sense now... I really hate how blue-greens don't show up, cuz I love those colors

Yeah, I love those colors too.
When I'm gonna use the scanner I put a black paper under the drawings to protect the colors!

It makes the light a bit weaker, protecting the colors, so they won't change much. o:
