i love it ! i was travelling for two weeks and i got home and immediantly wanted to find this batman and robin comic i haven't looked at for about two years,,, it was really intense, with contrast and sharp angles and exageratted features and then blood would be dripping red on black and white, There was unshaded big shapes and cool lines to add depth in others and it was like batman and robin death , it was not morbid but it was very vital.. i need to find it again, and then find related authors that do cyberpunk intense stuff like .. id hate to be forced to draw it for my fin self.. just because i want to see it again,,

this is boss man. you should try doing a pic Gatts, Hence, Happling, Glee and the others. you totally nailed how i have Ave pictured in my head. i'm on The Eternal Prison now and totally love it. keep up the awesome work dude.

thanks! i always enjoy meeting other fans of the series. it's a great series, isn't it? man, eternal prison is MIND BLOWING!!

i actually... have a LOT of fan art planed to do for the avery series. pretty much all the characters, monks, and some of the badass scenes from all the books. i have been been re-reading the books and taking notes and marking pages for refrences of descriptions and dialogue. i plan on doing the majority of it in the same ink noir style as the avery picture, splashed with a little bit of color here or there... i have a lot of ideas planned out, and i have their looks all stuck in my head...

so... ONE of these days.... i'm going to have a big fanart project and just do them back to back to back. should be fun!

LoL thats awesome man. go for it. i can't wait to see it. that one scene where Avery is fighting Glee, or when Hence comes in and brawls with the monked Kev would be dope. or a cool fan art of Dick Marin looking all sly and smartassed with his head tilted as if he's getting a message in front of an army of avatars. lol

hopefully i'll get it done (or at least started) this year. that would be great! the project is buzzing around in my head, so i'm itching to get working on the actual drawing stage.

Thanks It's always fun to meet other fans of the series. I adore Gatz also. One of these days, when I'm not so busy, I will be doing a series of pin-ups and mini comic pages of some of my fave scenes and fave characters from all the current books that are out. It's just too awesome of a series to not draw.

Yeah I know. I don't understand why it's not nearly as popular as some other series out there. Did you read all four books? I only read up to the digital plague but i have the last two.
You should totally draw Gatz. I don't know how you would decide which scenes to draw though, the book as a whole is just incredible!

i plan on drawing several characters and scenes from all the books. there are so many awesome things from avery's world that i can just see so clearly in my head, that i just GOT to draw them! it's a big project, but yeah... it's coming. maybe that will be my personal project for 2011?

I've worked my way through "The Electric Church", "The Digital Plague" and "The Eternal Prison", and I have to say that I think you captured Avery Cates and his roon in all their 'gweat and tewwible' glory. Like marychain said, it has an awesome gritty feeling to it, and I love the looming feeling of the buildings. Really great job!
