Megapixels are a rather small part of what makes a good photograph. They're more related to what size you can print at. Sometimes I get annoyed when someone looks at a print of mine and says, "Wow, what a great shot! You must have a really good camera." Always remember that the work you do as a photographer is because of your skill, not just your camera! (Though a nice camera only helps. Which is why I've switched from the old 30D to a 5D mk II now)
