this Zero paid a heavy price for underestimate the Walrus's gunner

You can almost see how it happened: The Zero dives, thinking to put a quick cannon burst into the Walrus, but closes the distance faster than he anticipated. He pulls up at the last moment and loses a lot of airspeed, and presents a relatively slow and large target to the gunners.
