And before they were called the 332nd, the Tuskegee Airmen were called the 99th Fighter Squadron. and it was only after they were joined by the 100th, 301st, & 302nd Fighter Squadrons that the Tuskegee Airmen were called 332nd Fighter Group.

P-51 Mustang, the very incarnation of a "War Bird". Great work, you got it wonderfully detailed and the colors are clean and deep, i like it that way.

Yes, as well as the Navy's Legendary Grumman F-14 TOMCAT.

The term "War Birds" normally is used for propeller airplanes, Tomcat is a twin jet fighter (with swept wing, if i used the word correctly). Plus, the Mustang was not especially a Navy craft AFAIK.

Yes I know that but the TOMCAT can trace its origines all the way back down its family tree to the Grumman F4F Wildcat(1940-45) and this is the Grumman family tree
The "Cats"
Grumman F4F Wildcat
Grumman F6F Hellcat
Grumman F7F Tigercat
Grumman F8F Bearcat
Grumman F9F Panther
Grumman F9F Cougar
Grumman XF10F Jaguar
Grumman F-11 Tiger
Grumman F-14 Tomcat

Ah, i didnΒ΄t knew that Grumman had that "family" defination, since the crafts clearly have little in common: single engine propeller against twin jet, thatΒ΄s a rather vast difference in my oppinion.
Thanks for the update!
