Grey Gargoyle/ Paul Pierre Duval was a chemist in Paris who accidentally spilled a contaminated potion on his right hand, which started to turn to stone. Apparently, he was a rather clumsy chemist because he also touched his contaminated hand to the other one and changed his whole body to stone. Naturally, he decided to turn to crime when he realized that he could change any organic or inorganic matter into stone. Although he could move around and stuff when he was stone, the people he touched with his right hand were just, well, statues. The effect only lasted an hour, but, if, for example, one if the statues had its arm smashed off, at the end of the hour, they still wouldn’t have an arm…never mind if it had been the head. Ewwww!
