Yes.  She did a lot of modeling before her acting career.  She was in 1971's The Last Picture Show which was well received, but then did the musical At Long Last Love with Burt Reynolds.  If you want to see her in a bikini top in a short role watch 1979's Americathon where she shows up at the beginning of the telethon.
