Description

The original reason for my road trip this past weekend was to ride the steam train on the Wilmington and Western Railroad in Delaware, but things went slightly beyond that plan!

Baldwin Locomotive Works 0-6-0 "slopeback tender" switcher No. 58 “The Veterans Locomotive” (ex Atlanta, Birmingham & Atlantic Railway, US Army, Virginia Blue Ridge Railway, Mead Corporation, etc) pulls a steam-powered Memorial Day weekend Hockessin Flyer out of Greenbank Station in Wilmington.

You know, she's just as old as Grandpa Abraham Simpson II, and he also fought in WW2.
