Description Weekly bird speedpainting 

This time I tried a different style altogether - different brushes, less detail and more conceptual.

Southern crested caracara (Caracara plancus)
IUCN status: Least Concern

I want to point out how much better these look than when you started. Like, this is awesome! It looks really, really good. The grey parrot was the other one that stood out to me.

Also hi, I'm alive. Probably not going to be on dA that much, but was going to put a few pieces up at some point in the next few weeks and such, and clean out my inbox because it was crammed to the gills.

Welcome back on dA! Yeah the group is 'idle but alive' I'm accepting any art that is endangered bird related, even if the bird is an OC in a made up story. If we have more time, we could maybe now and then actively search for art of endangered birds.

Oh wow, this is a magnificent bird! I love the little specks in some of the feathers there and that majestic nobel expression... beautiful creature! This is one of my favorites you've done now!

I saw one of those in a zoo a few years ago, and this species has made a huge impression on me then (by just sitting there, doing nothing xD). Definitely one of my favorite bird species!
