Description I finally had some inspiration and motivation to draw. This is the Banana Brontobill. It's just a hornbill head stuck on a hadrosaur body. I'd imagine it as a large herbivore dwelling deep within the rainforest. They average about 35 ft long and 10 ft tall when on all fours but can reach to branches over 30ft high when rearing up. They produce a very loud shrilling sound like thunder that rings through the jungle. They live in small herds made up of a few females and young or bachelor herds of a few males. Once a year, a bachelor herd and band of females and now subadult young will meet up to mate. This time of year is known as the Thunder Rut as herds bellow out to find mates. There is no sexual dimorphism in the species or much competition between males even in the same herd. The species is plentiful. Females lay a clutch of 20 to 30 eggs on the forest floor. Herd members take turns watching over and tending to eggs while grazing. Hatchlings are small, semi-arboreal and leaf green in color. Their mothers and aunts keep a close eye on them despite the niche differences. As they grow older, their scales turn a pale yellow and spines and a hard casque upon their head. This along with their long, muscular tail, large size, and very long, sharp beak protects them from predators.
