Yep, Ash's battle with Pete Pebbleman at the Indigo League's Ice Field is still going to happen when Pokemon Ninja Trainers eventually reaches that point in the story. After all, it would make the most logical sense given how he does undergo his development like in canon and will still use Kingler and Pikachu against Pete's Cloyster and Arcanine respectively like before as well. Then again, for Graveler I'm actually not sure which Pokemon could work for that as I was thinking Tauros since it would mean he could get an early use in a Pokemon League only for the match to ultimately end in a draw when Graveler eventually uses Self-Destruct or Explosion to take Tauros down with it. In fact, Ash's Tauros may actually know the Earthquake attack which will do wonders against Rock-Type Pokemon such as Graveler which will contribute to this eventual last resort being used against the young man from Pallet Town. That way it would ultimately coincide with the actual story and would lead up to the Kingler vs Cloyster battle still happening in the ensuring process so overall, I hope you like how this turned out in the long run.

PS: Yes, his Graveler is from the hack Pokemon Ash Gray as we never really see what his first Pokemon was against Ash in the Indigo League at all so yeah.
