I think this guy is my favorite Star Wars villain. He had everyone fooled, right up until the last moment.Suffice it to say he was inspiration for Sosuke Aizen from Bleach.

it's kinda funny, the only reason it's not is due to what happened to Anakin...though he spent so much darn time with him I can't believe he never put it together.

I think part of Anakin didn't want to believe it when Palpatine revealed his true identity. The man was like a father figure and he was the only who really encouraged him.
