I finally finished and debuted my .Hack//Sign Tsukasa cosplay
I fell in love with this series and character only a few months ago and knew I just had to cosplay him with my friend who wanted to cosplay Mimiru. Even though the sewing was supposed to be pretty simple, it managed to frustrate me to no end. I guess I'm not much of a seamstress. The staff, however, was fun and pretty easy to make. It's also my first prop that I've made with no help and I'm so proud of it!I'm so glad that I found Saturday night and we got a few shots.

This is so awesome!! You did an amazing job on both the costume and staff.
May I ask how you made the staff, or at least what materials you used to make it? I'll be starting my own Tsukasa cosplay soon (after 10 years of trying to get him done!) and I'd love a tip or two on the staff if you wouldn't mind.

hi! sorry for the delayed response. I'm pretty bad at explaining and I made it awhile ago so some parts I'm not sure about x-x I know I used pvc pipe and for the main curved part used a foam wreath and build it up with paper mache. the triangular shapes on the handle are all from foam cones. It was all pretty BSed tbh

I have a question though if you don't mind. I'm working on this costume as well, and was curious as to how you did the bias tape on your top. More so, how did you get the tape that runs along the bottom to meet the center "seam" piece?

The bias tape detail (not the hem) was all pretty much BS'd with heat n' bond. For the part of the hem where it stops at the seam, I sort of just folded under where it ends before I sewed it on and flipped it over. It's kind of hard to explain.

Hey! Your mitered corners turned out really well (at least from what I can see). I think you can add a few dots under Skills - Sewing.
