YAY!!!! At long long last I have attained my goal of being a professional PUBLISHED (PAID!!!!!!!) cartoonist. My hometown has begun a new bi-weekly newspaper, one of those free "Shopping Guides" that you see laying around everywhere, and I have been invited to write and draw an ongoing cartoon to be printed in each issue. So I have come up with "BEARY TAILS" , the misadventures of a family of Kodiak Brown Bears, and what you see here is the official family portrait. Pictured are papa bear Benjamin, wife Bonnie and their sons Kody and Cubby....it going to be like a full color "Sunday strip"---digitally colored by my incredible Daughter, and of course the emphasis will be on slapstick and humor, as well as an occasional piece to warm the heart, as they say.
So I hope you will be looking forward to BEARY TAILS, which I will be posting every two weeks....

I love the tiny little blond bear! XD Its got such a proud little expression on ites face and that bowtie is justl like icing on a cake.

...that's little Cubby. He's still a little guy, and you know, when your just a cub, life is all fun and worry free. So he is a happy little bear, mugging for the "camera", while big brother Kody HATES having to put on a tie (like me...) for a formal portrait....

A very nice style you've got. The coloring on this piece is well-finished, and from this piece alone, the characters seem quite interesting to read about. Additionally, I like the idea of your comic in whole, and I certainly will stay tuned of it. I hope to see more!

...the package is ready to go but it won't be leaving the island today---we're having a bitch of a storm as I write, and no planes are flying in or out at present....blowing and slushing sideways, rocking the spruce trees...wow!
...but I will get it posted and it will leave when the planes are able to take off and land again...Alaska, I love ya!!!!!!
