Description
Few of you know that i am a big fan of horror movies & games.Mostly games since 90% of all horror movies are unoriginal and predictable. This charater is from my favorite horror game, "Silent Hill 2". He is also in the movie "Silent Hill" though the game is far more horrific then the movie.
I used a very strange combination of mediums on this image.
Brush ink & Watercolor. I wanted to give it a more "messy" look because i think it fits the character.
I'm sorry that i havn't been submitting much to DA this month. All my drawing goes to my collage assignments. And when i'm done for the day i don't really feel like drawing so... But starting next week i will have less things to get done. At least i hope so.
Anyway. If you havn't played this game i really recommend it!

I haven't seen the movie, but have seen clips, etc.
And he's just awesome. |3 This is a wonderful piece of art.

I really like the composition in this. The dark colors and the fact it's Pyramid Head is just perfect. Even your signature seems menacing. The only thing that throws me off slightly color-wise is the yellow tint in his skin- I always held to the fact that he had that unsightly grey to him. Still, I'd love to see more Silent hill art from you... But of course, it's your call.

Gotta say, this kicks some major ass. I love it when people try to portray the character through the style. THe messy feel reminds me a bit of the MGS comics, but with the more red based feel of SH, it definitely feels like it should be the comic style.
It really hit the nail on the head...the pyramid head.

that guy was ok in the movie...the nurses freaked me out.

Very nice image of Mr. P Head. But I thought the movie was a lot more brutal than Silent Hill 2. Probably more on par with Silent Hill 4 : The Room.

I don't find brutalness very creepy. I prefer a more sophisticated kind of horror made by ambience and feeling. That gets far more frightening in my opinion
then gore and brutalness. Though alot of people thinks "the more blood & gore, the creepier it gets".
I'm not saying it's bad. It's just that i tend to look for alittle more then just that in horror.

Well actually that wasn't the point I was getting at as I enjoy suspense a great deal more than bloodlust on the screen.
But you said "He is also in the movie "Silent Hill" though the game is far more horrific then the movie." and I equate horrific with bloodthirsy. Had you said creepy or chilling then I would have agreed whole heartedly.
It's just me taking the meaning of the word differently.

...and I couldn't agree with you more, that is exactly how i feel, where ambience and feeling really are what make the horror movie. you gotta have suspense. it's the reason i liked "When a stranger calls" where a lot of people didn't like it because it wasn't gory enough.
anyway, i have never seen silent hill and really dont know who pyramid head is, but the artwork is well done and worthy of a fav.

PH has faaar too many fangirls, but seeing a decent fanart that does justice for him...makes me forget all the rage.
I love the 'mesy' look of this. It resembles the way the game is with it's odd textures and blends of color, mostly with red.
