Description I dreamed you once, divining your face
I was holding it close, breathing the clouds of your breath
before the air could steal them from me.

In the night we stood
over water, under shattered, glinting
fragments of midnight sky.

I remember the frost on the leaves
sharp in moonlight
the frost in my lungs.

My toes numb
my heart slowed
my hands empty, searching.

The feel of your untouchable flesh
beneath my pleading fingertips
And I wished for the lost time.

Because I needed you
and in turn you replied;
there is no such thing as ghosts.
