Ah yeah I know its late but least its up now (just been tweaking it
) Anyway, Mays trade at with the wonderful animalartist16 of her character Volknyr. He is a beautiful character to draw and I had a lot of fun drawing him! He is a fluffy dragon with canine features so he isnt a wolf lol he also wears a transparent blue scarf and the necklace shown too. His personality is calm, quiet, shy, nice and loyal. Sorry its late but been busy XD The bg is a bit better in real life you can see all the colours properly lol Hope you like!

Well most people ask that you pay shipping if you want artwork mailed over and I don't have any money. I'm going to try to get a job at an art gallery, since my friend's dad owns the building I believe, and my grandpa has artwork in there so that'll be cool. ^^
I really want commission money. I love getting artwork. ^^

But yeah, she's an incredible artist. I'd love to get some artwork from her.
And yeah, I know how it is. That's why I keep a list of all the artwork people owe me and if they're doing a bunch of random BS personal artwork and nothing else then I politely ask if they're still going to do it or if they're going to work on it. I'm sure if the artist is actually putting out commission works and have a long list it's fine, but if they're screwing off then you might as well just get your money back, or try to. :/

And yeah I do one I understand and Im not too arsed about (she keeps me informed and has already done most of it) but one has just took the money off me and basically done nothing but crap XD ive asked her but no reply, but yeah I have a good memory so I know who owes me stuff like that but i keep a keen eye on her. lol
In fact Im revamping my commission page now haha I always change the layout XD Im going with pearledens layout now haha

That stinks. I wonder if you could report them if you can't get a hold of her. Did you try noting her? Because she can't just take off with your money. Did you pay a lot?
I pretty much closed my commissions until I get to be a better artist. No one buys my work anyways, not unless it's point commissions, anyways. 
And ugh, I need to do a personal project to keep myself sane. I haven't done a personal project since the beginning of May. T.T

And yeah I have mine open but Ive just raised them because I hate doing work that I work my butt off for and selling it for less then I think its worth 
But yeah I havnt done a personal piece for a while thats why Im trying to plow though everything I owe then I can just do the odd trade and commission and then the rest personal

And no you don't sound big-headed at all. In fact your prices are fairly reasonable, and I'd rather not do commissions at all than sell them for cheaper than I deserve. And PearlEden actually does sell her work for very cheap compared to what they should be; I don't know if you've read her journal about professional artists and how much they really earn for artwork, and that DeviantArt's prices for artwork is ridiculously low, but it's true. Besides, it's more time to do free artwork. ^^
That's why I haven't done anything personal either. Though I don't have as much to get through as you do, some of the artworks I've procrastinated for a couple months and I really need to get to them. After that I'm probably not going to be taking any more trades or anything for a while, besides those sprites and such, anyways. I want to have some time to practice with some personal artwork and improve my skills before reopening my trades or whatever.

yeah i totally agree with you she should earn a heck of a lot more then she does, considering how much time she puts into the pieces she works with. Plus the materials she uses too. But Im glad you understand though I find it really sad that people only get commissions because they are so cheap its unfair on the artist. As soon as they raise there prices they get no business
And yeah i know what you mean, i cant wait to get this list done, but ive been trying really hard to get trades and prizes done but im one of those people who start something leave it a week then go back to it and dont like it XD

I think she mentioned that she only does a small portion of commissions on DA and most of them are RL so that's good that she's actually getting good money from collectors. And yeah, but if you become a good enough artist people won't care if they're not cheap, they'll still want artwork from you. So let's work together and become great artists.
Do a lot of people bug you about not getting stuff done fast enough? I bugged you once or twice, but that's because my name wasn't on the list and I wanted my senseless third place doodle. XD

Nah, not really. XD In reality, besides sprites, I owe like, three pieces of artwork: a kiribian prize and the two first place prizes I owe for the one who won my contest (whom is a really good friend of mine and I give her tons of free artwork anyways so she doesn't complain XD)

I know, I make free art for my friends all the time, I don't know how people can think I'm selfish. And I also randomly donate to people and I buy point commissions randomly for friends. Because I'm cool. So don't be surprised if you get a gift somewhere! XD
