I have to say these are my favourite of all your images here. They feel fluid to me, particularly the first in the series.
They feel a little... alive.

Yeah there is something nice about just opening a blank canvas and painting. Usually I spend some time planning and researching before I start an illustration.. instead of painting like this.

I used to try and draw every drawing a little better than the last.
I never did sketches though, or preliminaries.
Now I sometimes let myself just draw things on a whim, and I'm starting to feel much more comfortable with a pencil in my hand.
It's less like a test and more like exploring.
I still have goals to work towards, but I can focus on what I want, and not need every detail to be perfect.

thats because 5 hours isnt enough for one picture! you should be spending at least 20 hrs if you want to make it good. when you have experience you can cut that amount of time down slowly.

Woah, all these look great! The Grungetown bar one has some fun designs going on, makes me wonder about whats with these jellyfishes. I'm very happy for you and hope you have a good time.
I heard term 2 is supposed to be very rough so I wish you the best of luck and some sleep 
Would look forward to some lines by you how you think about your time at FZD when you have more time, maybe after the year.
