Description Common Name: Barkstripper
Scientific Name: undecided

Description:
A large quadrupedal species found throughout the planet's tropical regions, standing at roughly 6 metres tall from shoulder to toe. The most notable feature of this species is their unusually long claws. These are used, not for dispatching prey, but for tearing into the trunks of certain trees or rotting logs to drink sugary sap or uncover various types of alien fungus. A pair of flexible feeding and drinking tendrils beside the mouth assists the creature in feeding upon these, while the primary beak teeth are used to strip bark and vegetation from larger plants.
