Meet the SHSL/Ultimate Storyteller, Ori Nanashi. You might have heard of other people being called the “Walking Dictionary”, but she’s the “Walking Library”. Ori possesses a phenomenal if not inhuman memory capacity, able to recite every book she has ever read, every TV show/movie/video she has ever watched, and every story she has ever heard verbatim. She can even vividly describe every dream she has ever had (although a majority of them are FAR too personal to share and she would rather not tell them to just anyone).
The stories Ori recalls range from ancient history, to mythology, to folktales, to urban legend, to news articles, and so much more. The people she meets are especially considered precious “stories” to her. However, she describes people as the most complicated types of stories since, “the person only allows you to see a portion of their life; so you never really get to finish reading their book”. That being said, Ori has made it her ultimate mission to befriend as many people as she can, for only through strong bonds can you truly get to learn about people’s “true selves”.
Despite having extremely impressive memory, the girl tends to forget ordinary things such as what she had for breakfast that morning or where she put her wallet or what her own cell phone number is. Sometimes she might even repeat things twice without realizing until you point it out to her (and then she’ll bashfully apologize). Ori normally gets caught having a daydream-like expression and might not be aware of her surroundings, as if she’s totally wrapped up in her own little world. But overall, she’s an easygoing person and has her heart in the right place.
