Description
Drawing made for a friend of mine. It pictures the celtic Goddess of war, Morrigan
The scan is really bad: the sky has lost all the gloom shade I gave to it and the other colors aren't near as bright as the original. I didn't manage to get a better image. Groan.
medium: watercolors
EDIT: I've added some gloomier touches to the sky and tried to take a better scan. Now it looks darker, at least

Vero che i tacchi non sono molto celtici, ma adoro l'atmosfera di questo dipinto. E la Morrigan è uno dei miei personaggi mitologici preferiti (no, quella di Darkstalkers non mi interessa per nulla).

Morrigan è sempre piaciuta anche a me... i tacchi son proprio venuti d'istinto, non so, ho sempre avvertito in lei una sfumatura di femminilità e sensualità, nonostante sia una figura legata alla guerra e alla morte. Penso di averle messo i tacchi per esprimere questo... e pazienza per la fedeltà storica/mitologica. Per una volta la sacrifico

Mor Riagan happens to be one of my favourite mythology characters, I really like how you portrayed her. Is it entirely done in watercolor? I really like the colof effects of the landscape. The crows are a great touch too.

Ho sempre pensato che Morrigan fosse il nome di un qualche spirito, tipo fey, non di una divinità. Vedi quante cose s'imparano.

Loving the subtlety in the colours, the costume design and the dynamic pose. That you can do something as detailed and defined as this with watercolours is pretty darned amazing.
