Growing up, Naba never really got to play with other cubs his age very often due to being constantly sick on and off, however his mother, Nala, taught him her trick-flip so the few times he was healthy enough to play with them, he had just as much of a chance of winning a good old game of wrestling as much as the other cubs, even if he was still physically weaker than them. Simba didn't approve of him rough-housing with the other cubs, even during the few times he was healthy enough to do so for fear that he could get hurt or become sick again, but Nala insisted he needed a bit of normalicy in his life so Simba reluctantly allowed it. Thus, when Naba one day suggests to Nuka that they play wrestle to see who could pin the other down first, Nuka surprisingly agrees, thinking that the game would be an easy win for him, not knowing of the trick Naba has up his sleeve.

He loses. Embarrassingly fast. So Nuka demands a rematch, thinking Naba's win was a fluke (I mean, after all, he's been trained how to fight while Naba is a cushy prince who spends half his days in a den sick, so how could he lose twice?).

He loses. Again. But he takes the loses surprisingly well, perhaps because it's Naba pinning him and not, say, Kovu or another member of his pride. Naba may gloat a bit, but he's otherwise a good sport about the whole thing. Anyone else would mock Nuka for losing so quickly, and Zira, his mother, would yell at him and maybe even physically beat him for being so weak and pathetic. So with Naba, Nuka is okay with losing.

And only with Naba.
