Description Grr! I am outraged by this painting program and My inability to work the layers out!

Not only that, but I learned that the older generation of my family think lowly of myself and my other half. Amidst gay conversations, their topics slowly change until they meet a point where talking about some one (or two) is fine. In their arrogance, they comment the sad, sad traits of their weakest branch of the family. I had not known of this until much later on... My predictions made in silence long ago have been proved by this revelation; I am slower at response and cognitive thought, I am not a scientist, I am not socially adaptable, I am not clean, and I am not what they expected a youth should be.

I blame it on being prematurely born. Psychology class spent an hour enlightening me that twins do not receive as much nutrients during development as- say, a single child would- and as a result, the twins tend to have lower IQ, lower physical capabilities, and most commonly have defects. Add the prematurely born, and you get retards.

Christ on a Mighty-Freakin-Spatula.

Anyway. Here's a character test. It still doesn't look right.

I like this character! The basic design is cool and I love your ability to draw abs XD You're good at muscles and anatomy (as it's probably been said a lot already), and I love how you have a sort of western comic style that's so very difficult to master. At the same time you make it your own.
Um, I don't know how much this next bit will mean to you, but I'm going to say it anyways because it really does kill me to see you or your other half upset.
You are probably one of the most intellegent people I know. I guess you guys struggled some with math, but so did at least 70% of your highschool. Anyways, you guys know a lot of interesting things, and you have some amazing concepts and ideas. The things that come out of your head, Miss Phantom, simply amaze me. even vague concepts. No, I'm not just saying that. I hang on every word of your stories and ideas, really and truely, even if it doesn't seem like it. You are also one of the most physically active people I know. While I would limp downtown, complaining about the cold, you would be 100 ft ahead of me complaining about how slow I was! I would kill for your legs, even if you don't like them. Something you have to consider is that you've had your other half to lean on. Thats why you aren't social. You always had your twin. I know how this works, because I was never social either. I clung to my big sister, because my parents figured since we had eachother, we didn't need to know other kids, so they didn't set up playdates like they did for my brother. That's why he's social and Cait and I can't talk unless we're with people we've known for several years.
You are unique, and you might think thats a funny thing to hear, because you're a twin. But you really are. and you're going to do something amazing someday, no matter what your family thinks. You're one of my idols, buddy, creepy as that may sound, and I love ya and support ya I'll always be here for you.

That said, I'm probably two or three days late to say all that. Um, happy thanksgiving! Halloween's next!!! Yeah!

You ARE. XD It's TRUE and you can't deny it. I think I know one other person who is involved in sports, and you're more physically active than her.

Waoh it's been a while since I've commented on anything of yours. What painting program do you use by the way? ...I'm still envious of your ability to draw anatomy >> I need more practice in that area man! *is determined* XD As for the twin thing... there are people out there who would kill to be able to draw like you, and I'm not just saying that. I watched my science teacher try to draw a stick man on the board for 5 minutes yesterday. Twas a productive lesson

This was Coral Painter Essentials 3 (most often comes with a Wacom tablet and pen set) But what I've heard, Photoshop elements 7 is best for personalized brushes and other spiffy effects.

It's not a matter of how good or bad I am that displeases my family so, it's that I didn't profess in doing something that they see as more 'down their ally'. Nevertheless, I respect and love what you're saying. Positive feed back makes me heppy- evah so much.

Awww theres nothing wrong with you , don't let anybody tell you different. Also you just read my mind, I was gonna draw something with a head just like that!

Muse is a pretty awesome band too... just to throw that out there.

Holy Death-Crackers, Batman! You know Muse, too! They feakin' rock (albeit, depressing sometimes, but wicked rhythms nonetheless.)

It's hard to ignore near-solid facts and averages told in psychology class. In fact, the teacher seems to be bringing up the twin subject as a negative representation in the past three classes.. >.>

You know that feeling you get when you meet a person for the first time and you seem to automatically know you're not going to like this person because of the way he or she acts? It happens more often than naught. Trust your 'gut-thoughts' they tend to know better...

I do believe I remember him. xD

Aww. -petpet- well, I think everyone in my family must have been premature twins or something. 'cause we're all fucked. We should adopt you guys. The most anyone has ever accomplished in this family was...uhm...good highschool grades? No one here ever got a degree or is that quick. Simply put, we're all ReidTards ;D So yes, I claim that now we have adopted you and Dinneh. And therefore you are no longer the weaker branch of your family, but the strong leaf on our twig!

( yes, it's him- but I don't like how the anatomy turned out. S'posed to be thin and have slightly exadurated(sp) shoulders. >.<

xD; I was worried I'd have insulted you or something. But now you just feel like a microwaved peach <3 which is good.

Huwaaaa. I think he's pretty thin. Look how tiny his knees are! xD

Red-Phantom In reply to Revenant-Majestica [2007-10-13 04:55:01 +0000 UTC]

I know! That's the error; he's not thin where it's supposed to be! Ergo "I don't like how the anatomy turned out.."

Besides redundancy, you could never insult me- any attempts would merely encourage me to do nasty things. >:}

layers are complicated, but i love this! you did not fail! ^^ looks like this character could be on braodway or something...but that's just me..^^

i'm sorry your relatives think so negatively of you and you double...they're just jealous that they didn't have telepathic insight when they were kids. but seriously, that's the lamest thing i've heard, that your own family would say stuff like that about you... . If you ask me, I think you're just plain stock full of awesomeness!
Being a twin as well, i've met with some interesting people who think me and my twin are abominations...this one person at my school came up to me and said something like "you know people used to take twins into the woods and leave them to die when they were infants because they were considered to be demonic? well, i think that was a good idea." I turned on this dude and pleasantly asked him what his sign was, and he said he was a scorpio, and i told him to piss off because scorpios "were considered to be unholy." That shut him up.
I don't believe in that crap that twins are less intelligent and athletic that normal people. I know a set of twins who are the star players of my school's basketball team, and me and my twin may be sociopaths but by george we have a 3.9 GPA! even though we were born prematurely and weighed only 4.3 pounds. And look at you blowing incredible and witty pieces of art out your bum like it's a piece of cake! Take that psychology stats! XD
Don't let the man take you down, fellow duplicate.

HAH! That just made my day! Although the foul reminder that my elders were so critical of us still remains, your compliments are more than enough to sway my mood.

I wouldn't necessarily call my art all that witty- but the effort makes the difference.

I have always imagined generating a comic out of this character and the story behind him. But I have a long way to go before I even start setting priorities first.

Thank you so much!

I actually DO have a deformity, (No not like the phantom) I can't run for very long, But I AM a know-it-all. I'm a twin too, and Emily is younger by 7 minutes, we both wear contacts/glasses and we are both athletically challenged.

Athletics is the bane of twins- We are technically only half a whole person. (Some people make up those lame theories and provide them with weak evidence in psychology- this infuriates me) Religiously speaking, some say we only have half a soul. (WTF?!)

I've played badminton for numerous years- then one day a student one year younger than me, who never played badminton, beats me in a game of singles after the second month of practice. Great balls of fire!

Thanks, Carolyn, This rant has empowered my day. I'm off to class to rant philosophically now!

Great balls of fire

I understand how you feel. I may not be a twin, but I was born three months premature. I have no idea how intelligent I am considered, what with good grades and all, but I process things slowly and take forever to respond to things intelligently. As sarcastic as I can be, I rarely am able to make witty comebacks. I guess you could call me a methodical thinker.
I used to be quite the social outcast myself, but I have found friend making easier in college, mostly because there are more people I can connect with. Thank god for video games and fencing.
I think my parents have been happy with me. I never got into the things most teenagers get into, but I'm not a normal teenager. Whether they expected me to be "normal" I don't know, but at least they never had to deal with all that drama.
My childhood friends, on the other hand, know I am an oddball and often leave me out of their plans, not that I am interested in everything they want to do. It wouldn't hurt to ask me now and then, huh?

Ah, well, I've blabbed on enough. I guess we're both different than what those around us expect us to be.

We are out casts- I knew myself as one all along. But I didn't expect my own god-forsaken parents, aunts, uncles, grandparents and anything else in between to think so negatively of myself and my counterpart. (When they say something cruel, they mean it) All respect and admiration I had for them is bitterly lost.

Fortunately, I have my other half, who shares in my woes.

And- additionally, I have you, and a small handful of friends online that I can relate to. This pleases me greatly... <:}

Thanks, Silver.
